The world has changed a lot since we first opened our doors in 1975. Our mission hasn’t. McManus & Co Lawyers has remained steadfastly committed to providing the people of Melbourne’s inner and western suburbs with trusted, quality legal services.
In those early days, we made it our business to really get to know our clients and their families. We still do. In fact, the third generation of some of our very first clients are still with us today.
So what’s changed? Our team has grown in our 40+ years of operation, and we have acquired exceptional experience and skills in our three focus areas: wills and estates, family law and conveyancing.

Beate A. McManus
Principal Lawyer and Notary Public
One of the first female lawyers in Melbourne, Beate is a true trailblazer. She founded B.A.McManus Barrister and Solicitor at Highpoint Shopping Centre in Maribyrnong at just 25 years of age. Since those early days, she has worked on a huge range of cases. Her experience is second-to-none – our clients love her well-honed ability to provide frank and upfront advice.
Beate speaks fluent German.
Gabrielle McManus
Principal Lawyer
Gabrielle joined McManus & Co in 2012 as principal lawyer. Following her admission in 2008, she gained extensive experience in strategic dispute resolution during her time as litigation lawyer. She holds an Applied Double Masters in Wills & Estates and Family Law, and is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria Succession Law Executive Committee. She has also received special training as a collaborative family lawyer. On every matter, she’s all about minimising stress, risk and cost for our clients. Her mantra? Keep clients out of court wherever possible.

Taylah Hollands
LAWYER
Taylah is a revelation. She’s a lawyer so capable, we can quite confidently call her the next rising star.
Taylah has communication skills beyond her years, a hawk like eye for detail, organisation skills to die for and an ability to make complex legal concepts easily understood (harder than assembling Ikea furniture).

Prameeta Reddy

Meet Prameeta, our accomplished Wills & Estate lawyer dedicated to assisting clients to design and fulfil legacies. Prameeta joined McManus & Co with a wealth of knowledge in succession planning and estate administration backed up by a broad range of experience in litigation and conveyancing.
Beyond the office, Prameeta finds solace in hiking amidst nature's wonders and thrives on embracing fresh challenges.
Prameeta speaks Hindi.

Carmel provides legal and administrative support to the practice in all areas. She completed her Master of Laws in 2015 and brings her solid legal background to every legal task.
